Home is where the heart is, and Austin was my home for the last 4 years, during which some of my dearest memories were made. I had developed my personal identity, grown from boy to man. I studied petroleum engineering at UT, fallen in love, become a progressive and environmentalist, started a business, dropped out of school, had my heart broken, and dissolved a business. My time there was full of lessons and loss, but it there was even more love and joy. Austin made me who I am, and I wouldn't take back a single moment I spent there.
I only picked up a camera during the later part of my stay in Austin, and then learned to back up my images the hard way by losing most of them. There is an abundance of beautiful moments both in and outside of the city limits. The streets of Austin are filled with life and sights, and the best state parks in Texas surround Austin. My images in this gallery hardly do the city justice; however, that only gives me one more excuse to go back one day! I have no doubt in my mind I will be back in Austin, but this time as a visitor, not a resident.
